Once you become friends with Sho, one of the Tiller folk, she will send you a Red Cricket pet. The item that taught me the pet was blue quality, but the pet quality that I got from it was poor. If you check the comments section on the Red Cricket on Wowhead it seems that there is a random determination when you learn this pet.
